A hui hou....
We just took off over the pacific, so crazy! We left NH just over 4 months ago with no idea what these 4 months would bring. We were sad to leave our friends and family and boulder but we were also nervous and excited. And now 4 1/2 months later we are so very sad to leave and excited to head home to our NH ohana and Boulder. Bittersweet for sure!

Sunday night we went to Haleiwa Joes (thanks Auntie Erin for the gift card). Despite the rain it was beautiful! And crazy we sat in the same corner table we sat with Brandi and Maria back in October!

There’s the airport!

See that plane...it’s almost exactly 24 hours later as I am writing this.

One last pic of Tripler!

G!

One last hawaiian sunset.

Brandi and Maria got the VIP seating!!

Last beach walk...

Love Lanikai!

Sad faces as we headed back to the house.

Aloha 1121! Funny story as we were leaving the mail lady stopped. She and the boys got to be pals so they had a nice goodbye.

The view from the H3 never got old.

Holy hell did we have a lot of stuff!!! Somehow we got it all to the airport in a dodge caravan!

Aloha!

Ted had to return the rental car and literally was the last person to board. He made it by the skin of his teeth!!
So here is our last update from Hawaii....
Sunday it poured, I mean rain like I have never seen! The one silver lining is it gave us all day to pack and clean. I’m not sure we would have gotten out of here today if we hadn’t had Sunday or I guess I would have just stayed up all night lol!

Monday was beautiful! It was a federal holiday so Ted was home. The boys had one last ukelele lesson with Toby. He was so sweet and gave them a bunch of home made goodies for the flight!
Despite needing to return our rental cars and pick up a car from the airport we managed to work in some fun in the sun. We took a beautiful scenic road called Tantalus. It felt like we were on the top of Oahu!

Monday night Brandi and Maria brought over pizza and we wrapped up Hawaii as we started with our ohana! Remember back in October on our 2nd night....pizza at their house! The boys put together quite a show for after dinner!

Today finally came. I woke up sad and a little overwhelmed at all our last minute to dos. Ted had to go to Schofield Barracks and Tripler to do his final out processing and I had to get the last bits packed! The boys and I managed to get it all done, get a little lunch at Kalapawi Market and get to the beach. We ran down with no shoes and dove right in. We swam for about 10 min and headed home in time to quickly shower. Ted managed to get home 10 before we had to leave and then we were off!

Mahalo to everyone who made it possible for us to be gone and to those who loved us and supported us in Hawaii. It’s impossible to put into words how much these 4 months meant to us so I won’t try. Aloha and a hui hou (till we meet again) Hawaii!
