Lazy Lanikai Days

Turns out Hawaii is really busy over the holidays!   We were planning to go to the big island this last week after Christmas but there was no place to stay.  So we have spent the week doing the things we still had on our list for Oahu.

Yesterday we tried to rent a Jeep to drive out to ka’ena point on the north shore. We were able to get a permit but we need a 4wd vehicle.  For lots of silly reasons by the time we were going to actually be able to get moving in the Jeep we decided we had lost too much of the day so we rescheduled for Tuesday.  And instead    we celebrated our anniversary chilling on our beach in Lanikai.

Love our comfy new chairs!

Today we had another lazy Lanikai day.  The boys built legos, Ted read on the couch and I read on the beach.  Ted and the boys eventually joined me and we had a lovely lazy afternoon/sunset on the beach.

The clouds were making the sun only light up parts of the ocean.  The Moks at one point were literally glowing!

Beach football!

Drawing out his play.

Time to head home.

And the perfect way to end a lazy day....bob’s pizza at home!

Hope everyone has a safe and fun new year’s eve tomorrow!!!  Aloha!
