Pearl Harbor
We finally made it to Pearl Harbor! Little known fact you can go online 7 am the day before you want to go and a batch of tickets are released. By 7:15 they are all gone, learned that on Tuesday lol!

The torpedo room

Hmmm which cot should I sleep on?

Lunch time!

A little different than mouth to mouth.

From the boat.

All of the people who died aboard the USS Arizona. On the bench on either side are the names of the men who survived but who have since passed and were buried at the memorial with their shipmates.

Parts of the ship visible above the water.

Inside the USS Bowfin museum.

We got there a few hours before our tour time so we toured the USS Bowfin first. I can’t even imagine living on a submarine! The audio tour they provided was fantastic!

Next stop the USS Arizona memorial. Before you board the boat they show you a movie about that day. It’s surreal to think about what unfolded that morning and to have been to all of those places here. For those who have never been here, the remains and the bodies of those who died there are underneath the memorial.

Such a beautiful day and we all learned a ton. We drove back through the mountains on my favorite drive to a beautiful evening in Lanikai and yummy dinner at the farmers market.
Hope all our friends and family in New England are staying safe and warm!
